Marlene's art has always been very important to her. She does not work with specific subjects or mediums, rather she works freely in all types of art, drawing, painting and ceramics.

In fact, for Marlene, colour and texture and more important than subject.

Marlene often adds extra texture to her work using wax, washi, sand or anything else to hand.

Marlene has exhibited in Japan, London and Liverpool, as well as many smaller venues.

Market attended Twelve Key Campus attached to John Moores University, gaining a BA (hons) in fine art.

Marlene is particularly interested in the stepping stones of life, the very cells and their contents that form the basis of life. Indeed, some of Marlene's work being exhibited depicts electon microscope images of items, including her stunning cocktail collection - which is also available as prints.

What our customers are saying
