Karen was born in Gloucestershire and grew up in Cambridgeshire, where she always had an interest in art, both at school and as a hobby.

Although Karen has no formal training as an artist, she enjoys experimenting with acrylics on canvas, and expresses herself in shape and colour using various methods of application.

Mark Rothko, John Hoyland and Joan Mitchell are high on her list of inspiring artists.

Karen has previously displayed work in the i4art gallery.

Having recently spent time living in western France, Karen enjoyed taking her artwork to various craft fairs, and also displayed her work in her home for people to view.

Now settled back in the UK, Karen is enjoying living in Lincolnshire while creating new and interesting paintings which she hopes will inspire others.
