Ten your old Market Deeping resident, Charlotte Brenning, has launched the ‘Children’s Corner’ at Realitas Community Arts Centre, while also becoming the Centre’s youngest exhibitor.
Charlotte, who attends Market Deeping Primary School, is exhibiting her handmade earrings.
Commenting on her work, Charlotte said, “I really enjoy making and baking things. I first got into jewellery making after I bought some beads with my birthday money”.
“It’s really great to be exhibiting at the Centre as my Mum is also selling her handmade purses and bags here. It makes me feel very grown up” she added.
The new Children Corner includes original paintings for the children’s bedroom, handmade cuddly toys, fun jewellery and items such as bibs and felt booties. In addition, the Children’s corner provides a space where children can generate art and crafts that they can sell to boost their pocket money.
Local Deeping artist and mosaics maker, Fiona Gurney, an exhibitor of Children’s paintings at the Centre said , “Children of all ages love to create their own art and crafts with paper, glue, paint and glitter”.
“For me, it’s really good to be involved in a Community initiative that can help keep children interested in art and crafts”.
